A very warm welcome to Saint Bede's preparatory school, offering both boarding and day education for boys and girls aged four to thirteen.

Bishton Hall is a grade II* listed Georgian Mansion, surrounded by 25 acres of beautifully kept gardens and woodland, as well as 7 acres of professionally levelled playing fields. This rural setting provides children with a happy and safe environment in which to learn.

Saint Bede’s has a strong academic record, scholarships and awards have been won to most of the major English public schools. Our creative departments, drama, music and art enjoy an unrivalled reputation. Regular drama and art scholarships reflect the high standard of expressive arts within the school.

The school is perhaps best known for its exceptional pastoral care. Each child is treated with care and respect and encouraged to treat others similarly. A Saint Bede’s child is confident, without being arrogant, accepting of others, articulate and polite.

We hope you enjoy exploring this site and discovering what Saint Bede’s has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you to the school, to experience for yourselves the warm, family atmosphere that is at the core of an educational establishment unlike any other.
