Pony Club - Part of Staffordshire Life!

On Friday the school’s pony club was photographed as part of a special feature on our pony club to be published in Staffordshire Life.
In what started out as a small club of children, drawn in the most part from the younger children, pony club has grown into one of the most popular activities in the school. Under the expert guidance of Mrs. Mansell, our reception class teacher, 25 happy riders ride each week.
In the future we hope to re-open the school stables and ride on the school grounds. We are indeed fortunate that the previous occupants of Bishton Hall saw fit to build stables and several paddocks!

En Suite Dorms - “A bit like a hotel!”

The school is delighted to announce the unveiling of its first en suite bathroom, part of our boarding facilities upgrade.
The senior boys were welcomed back this term to their own bathroom. The spacious bathroom contains an incredibly smart corner shower, sink and lavatory. The bedroom was re-carpeted with a luxurious fawn coloured carpet illuminated by some rather snazzy wall lights. The boys all agree their dormitory looks more like an upmarket hotel than a dormitory, high praise indeed.

Sports Day 2008

As you will be aware, we are holding our annual Sports Day on Saturday 5th July. Yet again we will be at the mercy of the weather.

The day will begin at 2 pm and we would be most grateful if the children could be here by 1.30 pm at the latest and assemble in their house lineups.

This year, sports day will be held on our new playing fields. The field is accessible from the road, see the map overleaf. Please do not drive on the putting greens.
Prizes will be distributed from the terrace at the rear of the swimming pool. There is once again an exciting and diverse lineup of races and field events, that should entertain all those taking part and of course their fans.

The children taking part will all need -
A white t-shirt
Their blue games shorts/culottes
A pair of trainers/running shoes

It is hoped that sports day will be over by 4.30, including prize giving.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

In the event of bad weather, sports day will be postponed and completed during the week.

If the forecast is bad, please telephone the school at around 12.00 noon on the Saturday morning to establish whether we have had to postpone.
