Swimming pool

We are pleased to inform you that the swimming pool refurbishment is nearing completion. As I type the final coat of paint is being applied. The pool, as many of you will remember, has been a nuisance for some time, we have taken steps to remedy the situation once and for all: some 26 m3 of concrete has been poured into the bottom of the pool, all the steel pipe work, including the valves and drain covers, has been replaced, the building itself has been repaired and treated and the boiler has been completely re-fitted. The floor has taken rather longer that we anticipated to dry, at least now we can be sure the floor will stay put!

Once painted, we hope to begin filling the pool by the end of the week.

Once again our apologies for the delay in opening the pool this term, we hope now to enjoy several years of problem free use.
